Please join us for an interactive discussion on Saturday, May 11th on Cultural Appropriation and Appreciation. Please bring your voice, experience and opinion to the conversation. Some topics for the discussion:

What is Culture?

What is the definition of Cultural Appropriation? And Cultural Appreciation? What are the differences between appropriation and appreciation?

What have you seen or heard about appropriation and appreciation in the art world? When and what makes the difference? What actions might we take as artists to avoid appropriation, rather to show appreciation?

The discussion will be facilitated by Stacy Owen, monthly meeting coordinator for our region.
