Burlington City Arts Workshop Offering

Burlington City Arts is excited to continue our Artist Professional Development workshops in 2013. These workshops are designed to inspire and educate artists from all disciplines and help them reach their professional and personal goals. By networking with other artists and experts you’ll gain business skills and learn how to achieve success without losing your creativity. Workshops will be ongoing throughout the year and can be taken together as a series or separately depending on your specific needs.

In this lecture-based workshop, professional photographer, Dan Lovell and BCA Art Director, Ted Olson will demonstrate techniques for lighting for the purpose of photographing your artwork. Get tips on how to properly upload and save images onto the computer and what sizes and formats you should use for emailing and uploading to a website. Whether you’re applying to art school, submitting work for an exhibition, or putting together a website, you’ll leave this workshop with techniques that will improve your images and enhance your presentations. Please bring your digital camera to class. Focus will be on setting up your artwork to take successful photos for your portfolio, not on how to use a camera. A basic understanding of your camera is required. Registration is required, CLICK HERE to sign up.
